It's Been a Great Year. Thanks for being part of it !

Friends,

As they say on Facebook, “It’s been a great year. Thanks for being a part of it!” When I saw what Facebook chose for me, it was completely lacking in important events, references to pool season, caffeine, white shoes, showtunes, and friends.

So, my holiday letter and year in review...

T’is the season for caring and giving. In lieu of holiday cards and client gifts, I've made a contribution to several non-profit organizations in Western New England that work for the greater good.

I’ve had a great year on so many levels. Mark G. Auerbach Public Relations has been working with some great clients, among them Kurn Hattin Homes for Children (VT), and Suffield Academy (CT) in the educational arena; Berkshire Film and Media Collaborative (MA), The David Pakman Show (NY), Chamber Music Plus (AZ), Jazz Ensembles at Mount Holyoke College(MA), and authors Harriet Scott Chessman and Victor Acquista MD.

My journalism career revived after a long hiatus. I’m the arts reporter for the Westfield News Group in MA and CT, and my theatre reviews for Westfield are picked up by BroadwayStars.com. I’m a frequent contributor to PRIME Magazine, and a monthly contributor to the award-winning “Succeeding in Small Business” blog. You can follow my work here or at my blog, “Random Notes from a P.R. Guy” http://mgauerbach.blogspot.com/ or on Facebook as Mark G Auerbach or Mark G Auerbach Public Relations.

I’ve spent a lot of my free time as a volunteer for my alma mater, Northfield Mount Hermon School, as Class Secretary, a member of my Reunion Committee, and as an advisor to other class reunion folks as a member of the Alumni Council’s Reunion Advisory Committee.

I got to plan and enjoy a 95th birthday party for my Dad, last June. I returned to the stage for one night only, at a benefit for The Chester Theatre, where I interviewed writer Eddie Shapiro on his book “Nothing Like a Dame: Conversations With The Great Women of Musical Theatre”. There was plenty of theatre-going, minimal travel, and one of the best pool seasons ever.

Seasons Greetings, and all best wishes for a Happy and Healthy New Year.

Best,

Mark
